Marilyn Newhoff Named to National Publication Position
Newhoff, dean of the College of Health and Human Services, was appointed chair of the publications board for the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Marilyn Newhoff, dean of the College of Health and Human Services, is the new chair of the publications board for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. This position is a three-year term and has previously been held by faculty leaders at Purdue, University of Kansas, Ohio State and University of Washington.

The American-Speech-Langauge-Hearing Association's mission is to:
- Advocate on behalf of persons with communication and related disorders
- Advance communication science
- Promote effective human communication
About the publications board
The publications board's responsibilities include:
- Plan, monitor and coordinate the production of scholarly publications of the association
- Apply all of the policies of the association to the publications.
