In collaboration with students in the San Diego State Department of Child and Family Development, the SDSU Children's Center will host a fundraiser next week at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Grossmont Center.
The center is also partnering with BJ's Brewhouse in Grossmont Center for a fundraiser to benefit the Children's Center library. BJ's will donate 15% of the proceeds from any purchase made from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, with

Children's Center library
Donations will be used in the newly renovated children's library located in the back of the SDSU Children's Center hallway, near the piano. A group of child and family development students has recently upgraded the library thanks to a Presidential Leadership Grant.
Recent upgrades include a new drop box, doorway, lighting and furniture. Future updates include an electronic check-out system and a new rug for small classroom groups to use when visiting the library.
About the SDSU Children's Center
The
SDSU Children's Center, a service of Associated Students of SDSU, features a relaxed and loving atmosphere in which children are free to explore, learn and create through play. To foster the development of the whole child, activities are planned to provide maximum physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth and continuous exposure to the tools for learning.
