Campus Emergency Drill, Aug. 1

Love Library and Manchester Hall will be evacuated from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. as part of the drill.

A campus emergency drill planned from 9:15 a.m. until 9:45 a.m., on Wednesday, August 1, includes an evacuation of Love Library and Manchester Hall. 

What to expect

The drill will begin with the building fire alarms activated, followed by tests of the SDSU Alert (text and email messaging) and Mass Notification (loud speakers will be used in this drill) Systems.

The university also maintains a website that is updated in the event of a campus emergency. The university information phone line, (866)-794-8832, will also be tested.

Individuals are encouraged to sign up to receive emergency text, and/or email messages.

All building occupants are required to participate. As a reminder, building occupants should evacuate using the nearest building exit and proceed to the designated assembly point. Building evacuation instructions and assembly points are posted in buildings and may also be reviewed online.
