Classes Canceled Friday, Sept. 9

Because of the power outage in San Diego, SDSU has canceled classes Friday, Sept. 9, and the campus will be closed for all non-essential personnel. Essential personnel (as determined by their supervisor) should report to work Friday.

Power has been restored to all buildings on campus.

Open

  • IVC classes will resume today as scheduled.
  • Residence halls and food service
  • Faculty-Staff Club
  • Student Health Services
  • The Aztec Nights event and athletics events will go on today as planned
  • The Aztec Recreation Center has reopened
  • The Aquaplex has opened for sunbathing only. The pools are expected to open after noon
  • Campus tours will continue as scheduled
  • International Students Center
  • Library will open its 24/7 area, which includes the student computer labs, will open at 11 a.m.


Closed

  • The SDSU Children's Center will remain closed for the day


The city of San Diego has issued a boil water advisory for parts of the county, including the College Area. Click here for more information.

The university will to return to normal operations Saturday, Sept. 10.

Because of the power outage in San Diego, SDSU has canceled classes Friday, Sept. 9 and the campus will be closed for all non-essential personnel. Essential personnel (as determined by their supervisor) should report to work Friday.

Power has been restored to several buildings on campus. Residence halls and food service remain open. And the Faculty-Staff Club is also open. We are restoring power to buildings on an individual basis. We anticipate restoration of all buildings on campus in the next hour.
